What is Boudoir Photography?

"The term "boudoir" may also be ascribed to a genre of photography. Boudoir photography is not generally a new concept and numerous examples of famous women photographed in a boudoir style from the 1920s through the 1940s.

Typically shot in a photographer's studio or luxury hotel suites, it has become fashionable to create a set of sensual or sexually suggestive images of women (and occasionally men and couples) in "boudoir style". The most common manifestation of contemporary boudoir photography is to take variations of candid and posed photographs of the subject partly clothed or in lingerie. Nudity is more often implied than explicit. Commercially the genre is often (though not exclusively) derived from a market for brides to surprise their future husbands by gifting the images on or before their wedding day. Other motivations or inspiration for boudoir photography shoots include anniversaries, birthdays, Valentine's Day, weight loss regimes, other form of body change or alteration (such as breast augmentation or reduction) and for servicemen and women overseas.

Is it a strict version of Boudoir?

Yes, if you want it to be. No, if you would like it to be blended with glamour and semi nudity. There are no rules. You can do it the way you want it to be and the way you are comfortable. Remember, you are doing it just for yourself.

Can you keep it confidential?

Yes, if you would like to.

Do you do couple shoots as well ?

Yes, only if you want an artistic approach. If you are looking for something else, this is not the right place.

How much do I have to expose?

That's absolutely your choice and as per your own consent which can be discussed beforehand. The photographs are shot artistically with a play of light and shade.

How much does it cost ?

Rs. 45,000/- for three different makeovers / looks / settings

Does it include makeup ?

Yes, it includes makeup and hairstyling by a professional makeup artist.

Does it include wardrobe ?

Its best to bring in your own stuff but we can help and suggest what you should bring and sometimes even provide you with some stuff. You may go for Lingerie, Bikini or some other such outfits.

How many pictures will I get ?

You will get 30 final retouched and enhanced photographs.

How many photographs will be shot.

As many as are required. There are no restrictions.

Can I bring along a friend?

yes, certainly. However, bring along someone you are friendly with and not conscious of. Someone you are not uncomfortable posing in front of. Also, its fine to bring along one friend or at the most two but not a whole bunch!

What is the minimum age ?

You must be more than 18 years old supported by a documentary proof.
